We here at Kitly get to see both sides of the industry, and over the years we have refined both Kitly Business and Kitly to streamline the pitching process and provide much needed efficiencies to both creators and marketers. From knowing what to include in your first media kit, to efficient reporting and invoicing – we got you covered.

Just starting out

  • Understanding your audience and what media formats and styles they engage with most, allows you to position these formats front and centre of your Kitly Media Kit.

  • Don't over complicate things, make it easy for the brand to understand your unique offering and the value you can bring to the campaign. Your media kit is the best way to do this. Start with why you would like to work with them, focus on the data later.

  • We know the brand is going to ask for audience demographics, engagement rates and potentially, average reach. So make sure these are included in your media kit. Don't be afraid to highlight your Reach!

Too many marketers have focused on the follower number for too long and we all know it doesn't mean much. Reference our 'Size Matters' Insights Report to benchmark your reach. On average 38% of your followers is good!

  • Remember your Media Kit can be your first impression, so make sure it contains the relevant data, and more importantly, it represents you as a creator. So get creative, add videos, galleries, custom insights and loads more.

Getting work, but want more?

  • Remember brands work with influencers/creators to give their brand a genuine grass roots voice that is trusted through recommendation. So make sure you 100% believe in the product, the people behind it and their values. Brands are always cautious of who they work with in case of a PR disaster but it goes both ways. Do your research ;)

  • Be punctual & professional. Landing the deal is just the beginning of what brands often hope will be a long, mutually beneficial relationship, so consider the lifetime value of the brand as a client. Setting up your Collab in Kitly immediately allows you to stay on top of deadlines while making it a breeze when it comes to invoicing and tracking your income at the end of each month or the end of the Collab.

Create the campaign in Kitly and assign all relevant deliverables and tracking links to stay on top of everything. Doing this at the beginning of the campaign sets you up for success and mitigates potentially missing a deliverable.

  • We know some agencies and brands are stuck in 2014 and request screenshots to compile their Post Campaign Reports. Bring them into the light and guide them into the future by sharing a Kitly report, we know this saves them a lot of time!

So, what are you waiting for? Customise and share your media kit with friends and get out there! Remember its quality over quantity.

Kitly is a collaboration management software with tools to help you pitch, land and manage your next brand collaboration. Kitly's tools include account performance insights, customised media kits, performance reporting, collaboration & deliverable management and invoicing.
